Download Waze app to become a 'WKYT LiveDriver'

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WKYT) - We want you to join the WKYT Live Drive Traffic reporting team and navigate the gridlock.

WKYT partnered with Waze to make your drive easier. Waze is a free social mobile app that enables drivers to build and use live maps, real-time traffic updates and turn-by-turn navigation for an optimal commute. By being 100 percent powered by users, the more you drive the better it gets.

Waze is used exclusively by WKYT and Officer Don to show changing traffic conditions during WKYT’s morning and early evening newscasts.

By joining other drivers in our area who share real-time traffic and road info, everyone can save time and gas money on their daily commute. Get alerted before you approach police, accidents, road hazards or traffic jams, all shared by other drivers in real time. It’s like a personal heads-up from your friends and fellow WKYT LiveDrivers on the road.

Download Waze to your smart phone from the App Store or Google Play Android Market by searching for “Waze.” Then, join the WKYT LiveDrivers group and be a part of our traffic team. You may hear Officer Don use your user name and information on air.
