CLARK COUNTY, Ky. (WKYT) - The Clark County Coroner has confirmed that one person has died following a three car accident in Clark County Monday morning.

According to Clark County Coroner Robert Gayheart, 25-year-old Britta Richmond of Berea has died from blunt force multiple trauma.

The Clark County Sheriff's office tells us it was a head on collision involving three cars.

The other female driver was airlifted to UK Hospital, we still have no update on her condition.

The male driver of the third car was taken to Clark County Regional Medical Center and is being treated for minor injuries.

Officials say Speed and destructive driving most likely played a factor in the accident.

The accident happened around 8am this morning, at Boonesboro Road and Tangleridge Lane in Clark County.

The road is expected to be closed for the next few hours as accident construction crews continue to investigate.
