The shooting rampage that killed six people, and critically injured a Congresswoman in Arizona, left many people worried the safety of public officials.
During a news conference in Frankfort Tuesday, Kentucky Governor Steve Beshear was asked about his security.
He said state police won't let him talk about anything specific.
However, Beshear said the shooting won't stop him from doing his job.
"As governor of this state, I'm going to continue to be available and accessible to the people of Kentucky," Beshear said. "I think the citizens of Kentucky expect their governor to be available."
Beshear ordered flags at all state office buildings to remain at half-staff this week to honor the victims of the shootings.
