Gusty winds will continue to blow across the state into the evening. That wind is ahead of a strong cold front that will send clouds spreading eastward this afternoon. Widespread showers will follow the clouds late this evening into the overnight.
That’s when the front works eastward into Tuesday morning. Much colder air will filter in behind the gusty front and this will change the rain over to a period of light snow and snow showers from west to east.
There’s the chance for a minor accumulation for some areas. Tuesday will be a very windy and cold day with readings in the low and middle 30s.
Wednesday will be cold with teens to start and upper 20s and low 30s for highs… even with some sunshine.
The next storm system will roll into town on Thursday. Cold air will be in place as precipitation moves in and that may set the stage for a little bit of everything to fall from the sky.
