Scattered showers and storms continue to push across the region. Local high water issues remain possible through the evening.
As the weekend closes we start focusing our attention on the changing pattern. A cold front will dig in on Monday and spark rounds of showers and thunderstorms. This will be followed by some much colder air!
As these storms press into the area on Monday afternoon and evening we'll watch for strong or severe potential. With everything that's going on in the atmosphere with a big change like this, you can't rule out something stronger. The primary threat will likely be strong damaging winds.
At the tail end of the showers the colder air will catch up and snow showers will be likely. That's just how much strength the front has with it. Highs topped out in the low and mid 80s on Sunday and this front will bring those temps crashing down into the low and mid 40s by Tuesday.
Wednesday morning will be the coldest of the week with lows in the mid and upper 20s. You factor in a solid breeze and we are dealing with Wind Chill readings in the teens. Happy Spring to you!
