It is a big donation that will benefit hundreds of families.
This morning national organization Feed the Children with the help of Fazoli's dropped off food at Lexington's Hope Center.
Each family going through the line received three boxes: one full of food enough to feed a family of four for a week, a box of toiletries, and another box full of Avon products.
The event served 800 Lexington families in the process.
"I think everybody loves to give back when they can and especially when children are involved," said Stacy Hettich, who is the brand director with Fazoli's.
Volunteers with the Hope Center say meeting the people and seeing they have made a difference are what makes it all worth while.
"Coming to these events, you see it's the passion, it's the love. When you see people that you're helping out or give them a hand up, it means so much," said Chet Jones, who is the accountant executive with Feed the Children.
Lexington is the final stop of 15 across the country, but those involved say it is not the end, rather the start of something more.
"This for us is a start really even though it's the end of of tour, but it's potentially a new beginning of a new partnership that were looking to have in the future," said Hettich.
Two semitrucks now empty after filling the homes of many nationwide.
Those helping out called this event a hand up, not a hand out, and it is the biggest food distribution they have ever organized.
