Bitterly cold temps follow the winter storm

A major winter storm continues to pull away from the bluegrass state. This storm left behind 2"-8" of snow and ice across much of our region. As skies clear, temps will take a major tumble tonight. Readings will hit the single digits in many spots and could make a run at 0 in a few locations.

Winds will continue to gust up and give us a wind chill reading around 0 or below by early Tuesday.

Skies on Tuesday will be mainly sunny with highs topping out in the upper 20s to around 30.

We should finally edge above freezing on Wednesday with partly sunny skies boosting thermometers into the upper 30s.
