Blackburn Correctional officer arrested for promoting contraband

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WKYT) - A corrections officer for the Blackburn Correctional Complex in Lexington has been arrested for promoting contraband in the prison.

According to his arrest citation, a random search at the facility revealed a small amount of marijuana in the lunchbox of David Bailey, 27.

When supervisors at the prison tried to ask Bailey questions, he told them he wanted his lawyer present before questioning.

Bailey is charged with first degree promoting contraband.
