LEXINGTON, Ky. (WKYT) - If you're looking to explore Lexington's restaurants, here's your chance to go "beyond grits." That's the name of a new guidebook and website featuring 106 of the city's locally-owned restaurants.
"Lexington's culinary scene is bold, innovative and growing by leaps and bounds - so bon appétit, y'all," reads the new Beyond Grits website launched by the Lexington Convention and Visitors Bureau.
Lexington has experienced an explosion of new restaurants since World Equestrian Games in 2010. It is this boom of really innovative restaurants that prompted the creation of the Beyond Grits guide.
The guide will available to the public starting Saturday at the new Visitors Center in Victorian Square across from Triangle Park. You can also go to the newly launched Beyond Grits website for information and profiles of various restaurants.
