Bond denied for man charged in Lexington clerk's murder

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WKYT) - The case against a man, accused of gunning down a Lexington gas station clerk, has now been waived to a grand jury.

18-year old Travis Bredhold faced a judge on Thursday morning in a Lexington courtroom.

Bredhold is accused of murdering Mike Patel at a gas station on Alexandria Drive back on December 9th. Lexington Police arrested him a day later inside Fayette Mall. Bredhold was armed with a gun at the time.

In court on Thursday, Bredhold's attorney ask for his client to undergo a mental health evaluation. The judge presiding over the case agreed to allow a preliminary test for Bredhold to see if he needs a complete mental evaluation.
