Showers and thunderstorms will slowly wind down across the region as we head into the late evening hours. These boomers are putting down a lot of water in a short amount of time. They are also putting on a light show.
A cold front has stalled out across the region and will hang around into the weekend. This means additional rounds of showers and storms will fire up over the next few days. Afternoon and evening storms will be most common during this time.
Heavy rain and lightning will be the main threats, but small hail will also be possible.
Temps will remain in the upper 70s to low 80s for highs.
