WKYT has learned that a 14-year-old boy is missing in the Berea area. Police say Austin Turner was last seen walking on the Robert A Martin Bypass in Richmond around 7:30 Tuesday morning.

We were able to speak to his father, Jason Turner, by phone. He tells us his wife last saw their 14-year-old son at 2:30 Tuesday morning in their Newport Lane home in Berea. He says Austin was awake playing video games at the time.

Over the phone, he said he had no idea why the teen would have taken off, especially leaving his cell phone behind.

Jason Turner says Austin goes to school in Richmond and has friends in that area. He also says the 14-year-old takes karate lessons at a gym in Nicholasville.

Police say Austin was seen wearing a maroon EKY hoodie, a black T shirt with ripped off sleeves. Front of shirt has the logo of Muay Thai with TITLE on the back.

Berea Police say that this case is not related to the Brookelyn Farthing case.

If you have seen Austin Turner please contact Berea Police at (859) 624-4776 with any information you may have.
