Lockdown lifted for schools in Boyle County

BOYLE COUNTY, Ky. (WKYT) - As of 1:30pm Friday all schools in the Boyle County district have lifted their lock-downs.

Earlier Friday Boyle County Schools, along with Danville Independent, Centre College, EKU's Danville Campus and Danville's BCTC campus were all placed on lock-down following a deadly robbery at a Danville pawn shop.

Representatives from EKU, BCTC and Centre College all confirmed they were asked by local police to place their campus' in lock-down. The lock-down lasted over two hours as police along with sheriff's deputies searched the area to find the gunman.
