General showers will be the main action over the next few hours. A few could remain on the strong to severe side in eastern parts of Kentucky.
I'm tracking two cold fronts toward the bluegrass state over the next several days. Each of these fronts will cause showers and thunderstorms to increase.
The first system arrives late Wednesday and should produce a broken band of showers and storms. The greatest chance will be across northern parts of the area. Highs will be back into the 80s.
Scattered showers and storms will carry into Thursday as the front becomes stationary. This means a storm or two will linger into Friday with highs back in the 80s.
The Labor Day Weekend will see another front approaching from the west. This front will have a slug of tropical moisture to work with. Showers and storms could be more widespread from late Saturday into Sunday and Monday.
