'Bring It On,' 'Chicago,' 'Memphis' headline next Broadway Live season

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WKYT) - The 2013-14 Broadway Live show lineup was announced last night during the annual gala season preview event at the Lexington Opera House.

The event showcased local talent who performed excerpts from top national touring productions, all booked for the coming season.

The 2013-14 five-show season features four Broadway musicals and a play from a renowned regional theater.

"It’s an EXTRA! EXTRA! special season of Broadway Live,” said Opera House Program Director Luanne Franklin. “This season features five titles that are hot off Broadway – including multiple Tony Award Winners and one current nomination for best new musical."

As an incentive, season tickets are more affordable than ever before starting at $168 for the 5 show package. Season ticket holders will receive 20% - 50% off ticket prices. Lowest ticket prices are locked in for Season Ticket Holders, as the costs increase when single Broadway Live tickets go on sale August 29.

“There has never been a more affordable time to become a season ticket holder and enjoy the benefits that come with it,” Franklin explained. “Season ticket holders get the best seat at the best prices, enjoy multiple payment options, the lowest handling fees and the security of ticket insurance in case tickets are lost, misplaced or forgotten; and the ease and flexibility of switching show performances in the event of a schedule change. Best of all is the great personal service that has become an integral part of the Broadway Live experience,” she said.

The Broadway Live series will present five performances of each title and all shows are scheduled to take place over the weekends, including three evenings and two matinees.

Season Tickets for the 2013-14 Broadway Live season can be ordered on May 24, 2013 at 10 a.m. at the Lexington Center Ticket Office.

"The Miracle Worker" – March 14 – 16, 2014
