All clear given after gas leak on UK campus

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WKYT) - The all clear has been given at the University of Kentucky after a gas leak forced evacuations

A construction crew hit a gas line around 12:30 p.m. on Hilltop Avenue, near parking structure two.

UK officials evacuated Haggin Hall, Donovan Hall, and Central dorms one and two, the W.T. Young Library, the Wenner-Gren and Mines and Minerals buildings, parking structure two and all construction nearby.

Just after 2 p.m., crews were able to cap the gas line and the campus returned to normal activity.
