Burgler leaves behind gloves, flashlight during attempted burglary

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WKYT) - Police are investigating after an early morning break-in at a Lexington church.

Police responded to the First Alliance Church on Old Higbee Mill Road just off Harrodsburg Road early Friday morning for report of an alarm.

Police say when they got to the church they saw a man running from the building. Police then set up a perimeter around the Reserve Road area behind the church to try and catch the man.

A K-9 unit was also brought out to assist in the search.

Police say it appears nothing was stolen, but the burglar did leave a flashlight and gloves behind.
