Bus driver accused of raping 17-year-old girl

JACKSON COUNTY, Ky. (WKYT) - We're tracking the investigation into some serious accusations made against a Eastern Kentucky bus driver.

Kentucky State Police say a 17-year-old girl claims the bus driver, who works for Jackson County Schools raped her. Now the bus driver has been placed on leave while police investigate.

According to police the girl is a student at Jackson County High School. The incident we are told did not happen on school grounds or while the bus driver was on duty.

The schools attorney tells WKYT they can't release any additional information at this time other than to say the bus driver is not working right now, pending the outcome of the investigation.

KSP is handing the case over to the next Jackson County Grand Jury.
