CIA Director Petraeus to visit Fort Campbell

FORT CAMPBELL, Ky. (AP) - CIA Director David Petraeus is returning to Fort Campbell to attend a division review with the 101st Airborne Division, a unit he led into Iraq in 2003, as the storied division celebrates its 70th anniversary.

His visit on Friday caps a week of celebration at the post on the Tennessee-Kentucky state line honoring the division's history that dates back to World War II.

Petraeus, who retired as a four-star Army general last year, will also attend a retirement ceremony for Command Sgt. Maj. Marvin Hill, who also served under Petraeus as the senior non-commissioned officer.

After leaving the division, Petraeus served as the commander of U.S. forces in Iraq, was the head of U.S. Central Command and then was tapped by President Barack Obama to lead U.S. forces in Afghanistan.
