LEXINGTON, Ky. (WKYT) - Going into Tuesday night's game with UT Arlington James Young had made only five of his last 23 3-point shots. Thanks to his coach, Young found his shooting eye against the Mavericks.
After Sunday's game with Robert Morris, Calipari corrected Young's form. "His shoulders were going back." Calipari said. "I've watched him shoot for two years now and that's not how he shot."
Tuesday night, Young finished 8-14 from the field including 5-10 from behind the 3-point arc. "I was frustrated." said Young. "I usually make shots, so when coach Cal showed me that, I was just mind blown and we easily fixed it."
Kentucky returns to action in Rupp Arena next Monday night against Cleveland State. Tipoff will be at 7:00 p.m. on FSN.
