LEXINGTON, Ky. (WKYT) - Asked what his team's identity is Monday, John Calipari responded, "I don't know, it's still developing." Calipari said his team is getting better but has been influx the entire season. "We have not been able to say, o.k. here's who we are, now lets just get better at what we are."

Calipari talked about Ryan Harrow missing games early n the season and Willie Cauley-Stein just returning after missing four straight games. "Its put us in position where we're not as condifent in each other, guys don't believe in each other the way they should, we just haven't been together like that."

Kentucky, after playing four of its last five games on the road, returns to Rupp Arena Tuesday night to face South Carolina. The Wildcats have won six of their last seven. But Calipari says his players are soft with the ball. "It's embarassing when you say to a guy, 'you're soft.' So when I tell them they're not tough enough, they're not strong enough, that's embarassing." Calipari says he deals with it every year but it's more than the embarassment. "You also got to deal with the ignorance of it. Not like you're dumb, you just don't even know how to be physical, how to be tough, how to wedge."

Kentucky and South Carolina will tipoff at 9:00 p.m. Tuesday, the game televised on ESPNU.
