CARLISLE, Ky. (WKYT) - On Friday evening, Kentucky State Police Post 6 responded to a collision involving a Nicholas County Ambulance.
Charles Bailey, 21, of Mt. Olivet was driving south on U.S. 68. Bailey came up to an intersection at U.S. 68 and KY 36 and as he was making a left turn, did not see a Nicholas County Ambulance driving in his direction.
The ambulance crashed into Bailey's car right into the driver's side.
The crashed caused a multiple car collision as Bailey's car crashed into Tammy McConnell, 41 of Carlisle.
McConnell suffered from minor injuries and Bailey was transported to the UK Medical Center in Lexington.
There was a patient in the ambulance during the crash, but no one in the ambulance suffered any serious injuries.
The ambulance was not on an emergency run and did not have it's lights or siren on during the accident.
The crash is under investigation.
