LEXINGTON, Ky. (WKYT) - A Lexington family returned to their home early Tuesday morning after a car crashed into it.

A giant piece of plastic was placed over the hole in the front of the home on Strawberry Lane, off Alumni Drive between Tates Creek and Chinoe Roads.

No one was hurt when police say the driver of the Honda Civic hit two parked vehicles on Teakwood Drive then hit the home on Strawberry Lane.

A family of three was asleep at the time of the accident.

It is not clear what caused the driver to lose control of the car.

Police say the driver will not face charges.
