Car crashes into hotel

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WKYT) - A driver's mistake caused a big mess at a central Kentucky hotel Thursday night.

A station wagon crashed into the Days Inn on Athens Boonesboro Road in Lexington, around 7:30 p.m.

Investigators say the elderly driver accidentally hit the gas pedal, while he had the car in reverse, causing it to hit the building.

Workers at the hotel say the crash damaged a room that was not being used for guests.

We're told no one was injured in the crash, the hotel is open for business.

The hotel is still estimating how much it will cost to repair the damage.
