Car crashes into house after high speed chase through Lexington

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WKYT) - Police arrested two men early Wednesday morning after suspects led them on a high-speed chase through Lexington, and then crashed into a house.

Just after 3 a.m. on Wednesday, police received a call about two men acting suspicious in a Lexington neighborhood. Shortly after, officers saw the Jeep the two men were in, on Harrodsburg Road.

The Jeep sped off when police tried to pull the men over. After speeding up, the Jeep ran off the road and crashed into a house. There was only minor damage to the home.

Police then learned that the Jeep had been stolen. After realizing this, police arrested 20 year old Tyrel Birch and 21 year old Dejuan Jaspar.

Officers said they've been looking into several thefts from vehicles in the Marble Rock Area the past few weeks. They say they're urging everyone in the area to check their cars to make sure nothing has been stolen. If has been stolen, police urge you to give them a call.
