Car fire at Lexington gas station

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WKYT) -- A tense few minutes for people at a Lexington gas station after a car pulled in smoking, then suddenly burst into flames.

It happened at the Thortons gas station off Redding Road and Tates Creek.

Police arrived within minutes and tried to put the fire out using fire extinguishers.

Fire fighters then showed up and put out the rest of the fire. No one was injured.

There is no word on a cause.
