Car slams into Madison County gas station killing driver

MADISON COUNTY, Ky. (WKYT) - We now know the woman killed in an early morning crash to be 27-year-old Sara Fuller of Berea.

The crash happened around 1:30 Thursday morning on Battlefield Memorial Parkway in Madison County.

The Madison County Sheriff's Office says Fuller was driving through a curb when she lost control and went off into a grassy area. The car then slammed into some gas pumps at the nearby Kingston Shell Mart.

Fuller was pronounced dead at a local hospital.

The gas station is open, but drivers will not be able to get gas. Fire investigators must come out and inspect the pumps before they can go back into use.

Police believe speed played a role in the crash.
