Police say a man is fortunate to be alive after running a red light and crashing into a semi truck. It happened around six Thursday morning at the intersection of Perryville Road and U.S 127 in Danville.

Police say 22-year-old Ty Cook, of Campbellsville, didn't stop at the light. His Hyundai ended up under the tractor trailer.

Cook went to the hospital. The driver of the semi wasn't hurt.

The road was closed for about 90 minutes.
