Very slow moving showers and thunderstorms will move into our area overnight and Sunday. The potential for flooding will be heightened in southern and eastern Kentucky.
CASEY COUNTY, Ky. (WKYT) - A couple of brothers cutting some timber made a surprising discovery near a Casey County home.
John Wethington says he and his brother came across a more than four foot long rattlesnake. They found it near Coffman Branch Road.
Wethington says they killed the snake. A taxidermist estimates the snake to be around 52 inches long.
While that is big, it's not a record. Experts say the longest rattlesnake found in Kentucky was a little more than 60 inches long.
