Cat recovering after being ran over, shot three times

There's new information about a a story 27 NEWSFIRST brought you Monday night.

A woman who rescued a cat she named "Milo, the miracle cat" says the clinic taking care of him says he continues to struggle, and is still being treated for serious injuries.

Crystal Byrd rescued Milo from the side of a Magoffin County road after he'd been shot three times and hit by a car on the Mountain Parkway.

No one has come forward to claim the cat.
