The flash flood threat increases late tonight and into Thursday. Rounds of storms may dump a lot of rain across our region.
DANVILLE, Ky. (WKYT) - It was a crime that shocked and saddened many in Danville. And knowing that two children are now without their parents prompted two Centre College students to take action.
"Pretty affected by it because a family is torn apart. I was thinking about my parents and what if I was left without mine," said student Alex Mulhall.
So Mulhall and John Minton decided to do something about it. They're set up outside their dining hall at Centre College, taking whatever anyone wants to give.
"All the money goes for the funeral costs and to help pay for raising the two children whose parents were lost in the pawn shop shooting," said Mulhall.
Already their jar is almost full with the fund drive just a day or so old.
"We're doing a a routine fundraiser out here, didn't think it would become what it is. It's on the news and blown up so much this is great," said student John Minton.
The students will be set up just inside the Cowan Dining hall from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. until Friday. Donations can also be made at any PNC Bank.
