Changes at Keeneland with social media

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WKYT) - Just about everyone has a mobile phone, and this year you'll be able to put those to good use at Keeneland.

Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, or Pinterest, whatever social media outlet your prefer, Keeneland has something for you this year.

For example, you can Instragram photos of yourself with friends and family at Keeneland using #FALLSTARS to enter to win contests.

There are screens posted at the track showing the activity with these social media networks for all to see and keep up with.

"It's great to get everybody motivated with different angles, and we have a lot of new people that come out to Keeneland every single meet," said Coord. Jonathan Fowler, with Keeneland Select. "It's great to get to interact with people on a different level, and it's just fun and exciting to get those people out here."

It's new this year, and so far Keeneland officials say using social networking has been a success and a great way to connect with Keeneland goers.

There is one winner weekly in the Instagram photo contest. The prizes vary week to week.
