The flash flood threat increases late tonight and into Thursday. Rounds of storms may dump a lot of rain across our region.
ROWAN COUNTY, Ky. (WKYT) - Construction will begin soon on a Rowan County road, in hopes of making it more safe for drivers.
Cranston Road has been the scene of many accidents. So to make the road safer, the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet plans to change its layout, by smoothing out hills and curves along the stretch of road between its KY 32 intersection and Triplett.
The project is currently in the planning stages and will take place over the next several years.
"It will be a little more difficult for people to get around, but the end result will be a wider highway that's a lot safer and that's what our goal is," says Allen Blair, with the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet.
A public meeting will be held for residents to voice their concerns on June 5th from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. At Tilden Hogge Elementary School.
