CORBIN, Ky. (WKYT/WYMT) - Charges have been dismissed against a woman who left her great grandson at a southern Kentucky McDonald's.

Corbin City Police cited Joann Lowe in February, after the boy was left behind at the restaurant.

Workers found him wondering in the parking lot. It took hours for investigators to track down his family.

Lowe's attorney has said it was an accident. There was confusion on who the boy was supposed to leave with.

The charges can be re-filed if Lowe doesn't comply with certain guidelines.
