PARIS, Ky. (WKYT) -- We're learning more about a central Kentucky man arrested on child porn charges.
Police arrested James Wells at his Paris home Wednesday.
He's charged with distributing and possessing child pornography.
Police say over the last three months he downloaded thousands of files.
Neighbors say they're shocked.
"Because I've known James for a long time. It really surprised me with these type of charges. I wouldn't have thought it of him really," said Jerry Clark.
According to an arrest citation, Wells admitted to downloading and possessing child porn files on his computer.
