Kentucky State Police have confirmed a child in southern Kentucky has died after being shot.
It happened around 5:30pm Wednesday on Old Bethel Church Road, off Highway 90 in Wayne County. We're told it's near the community of Alpha.
State Police say an 11-year-old boy shot his 9-year-old brother.
We're told it appears to have been an accident. They're not releasing any more information right now on the circumstances surrounding the shooting. Investigators say it's too early to determine if any charges will be filed.
