LEXINGTON, Ky. (WKYT) - The re-launch of one of the most popular Christian music festivals will not happen this year.
On the Ichthus website, leaders say, due to this year's high number of snow days, school calendars have been extended beyond festival dates. They say many expressed frustration about not being able to attend the festival, which was set for June 4th at the Kentucky Horse Park. The new re-launch date is now set for July 8th, 2015, still at the Kentucky Horse Park.
Leaders remind everyone to continue to check the website for possible changes in bands and speakers.
They say they're calling ticket holders now. Those with 2014 tickets will be honored for new schedule dates. Anyone with questions is asked to call 800-327-6921 ext 204 or email at email@example.com.
In the past, the concerts were held on a farm in Jessamine County. In 2013, the organization pulled the plug on the nation's largest Christian music festival, citing financial problems. It had been running for 43 years.
Last year, Creation Festivals, which produces three other Christian music festivals, purchased the rights to Ichthus.
