The cold front is now working into eastern Kentucky with winds gusting to near 40mph at times. Temps have dropped into the 30s behind the front and we've had reports of sleet and snow mixing with the rain in Lexington.
LEXINGTON, Ky. (WKYT) - The group of citizens selected to weigh in on the proposed I-75 connector linking Madison County with Nicholasville will sound off Thursday night.
The I-75 Connector Citizens' Advisory Committee meeting will be hosted by the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet (KYTC) with the Lochner Design Team. The committee members represent varied community interests.
The I-75 Connector is a proposed connector route between US 27 in Jessamine County and I-75 in Madison County.
A 2008 study identified the best corridor for the connector be from the proposed East Nicholasville Bypass in Jessamine County to the KY 627/I-75 Interchange area in Madison County.
Thursday's meeting will be from 7 to 9 p.m. at Jessamine County Cooperative Extension Office at 95 Park Drive in Nicholasville.
