GEORGETOWN, Ky. (WKYT) -- The mayor of Georgetown knows the name Stephen Price well. The city and Price have been battling for more than a year over Price's property-- a piece of land many neighbors have called an eyesore.
But over the past couple of weeks, changes have taken place at the home on Rucker Avenue. The city has had crews working to clean up the property. After years of battling the city, the courts ruled in June that Price's land was not exempt for "Agricultural Use."
The court ruling says for a property to receive an agricultural use exemption, it must consist of five or more contiguous acres. Price's land did not meet that requirement.
Price has filed an appeal hoping to reverse the court's decision. A hearing is scheduled for Thursday.
