City commissioner will not resign after trying to have cemetery director fired

A city commissioner, who wanted to resign after a motion to fire a cemetery director failed, has changed his mind.

The Harrodsburg Herald reports that during a meeting on Thursday night, the mayor announced Marvin Isham will stay on as a city commissioner.

Isham wanted to fire Spring Hill Cemetery director Jerry Carter after piles of trash were found buried in the cemetery.

An investigation into the cemetery continues.
