CLARK COUNTY (WKYT) - After nearly four years on the job, the Clark County School Superintendent says she is stepping down.

Dr. Elaine Farris made the announcement at Tuesday's Board Of Education meeting. She did not give the board a reason for her resignation.

Farris was appointed to the position in April of 2009. Last November, Farris filed a libel suit against the former high school football coach and two others.

Farris plans to step down July 1st.
