CLARK COUNTY, Ky. (WKYT) - A fire at a barn in Clark County burned down in a matter of minutes and killed one of the animals inside.
Neighbors called 911 around 8:00 Wednesday morning to report a fire at barn on Agawam Road near Winchester. By the time crews got there, flames had destroyed the building within about 10 minutes.
The owner of the barn says one of two goats didn't make it out. The other, along with two horses, was able to get out safely.
Firefighters aren't sure what caused the fire, but the owner tells us he believes a low-hanging electrical wire could be to blame. Officials don't believe the fire is suspicious.
Fire crews spent about two hours on scene making sure all of the hot spots were out of the wood.
