Clark County fire destroys home

CLARK COUNTY, Ky. (WKYT) - Investigators are looking into what might have been the cause of an overnight fire that destroyed a Clark County house and spread to the nearby woods.

Firefighters responded to the call on Four Mile Road, near Fort Boonesborough State Park, around 11:30 Wednesday night.

Neighbors told firefighters that the home had been abandoned for years.

Investigators say the home didn't just catch fire but appears to have burst into flames, causing it to spread to the nearby wood line.

They say no utilities were running inside the home at the time of the fire.

Investigators believe the fire may be suspicious.
