LOUISVILLE, Ky. (AP) - Police say an arrest has been made in the fatal shooting of a Kroger employee in November.
The Courier-Journal reports that 18-year-old Aaron L. Cross has been charged with murder and robbery in the death of 34-year-old Jack Combs.
Police say Cross and Combs were employees of the St. Matthews Kroger when Combs was shot in the chest while walking to his car behind the store Nov. 23.
St. Matthews police said robbery was a likely motive for the shooting but declined to say Cross had fired the shots. Police said the investigation is continuing.
Cross was already in Louisville Metro Corrections on an unrelated robbery charge.
Rewards in the case totaling $30,000 from various sources are still active concerning information leading to an arrest and conviction.
