General showers will be the main action over the next few hours. A few could remain on the strong to severe side in eastern parts of Kentucky.
We are still seeing some showers and a few rumbles of thunder during the morning hours. This front just doesn't want to move out fast enough. Once it does move through you can expect a nice afternoon with a mix of sun & clouds. Also highs will be way down as we settle in the upper 70s. Friday will be very nice as we stay dry and highs make it back into the low 80s.
Come the weekend we will see a surge in temperatures. Highs will be in the upper 80s to low 90s on Saturday. Only a small chance of rain, so most of us stay dry. Come Saturday night into Sunday, we will need to be watching some storms move through. This could bring us our next best chance at severe weather. The better rain chance will be on Sunday at 60%.
Back behind this system for the weekend we will see another blast of cooler air. Our temperatures drop back toward the 70s for highs. Loving these little shots of cool air!
