Cold weather continues

Posted: Tue 3:11 PM, Jan 01, 2013

Happy New Year! We are wrapping up a cloudy and cold fist day of 2013 across the bluegrass state. Temps barely made it past the freezing mark and will head toward the low 20s later tonight.

There's enough moisture for a few flakes to fly, especially across the southeast. Wednesday will be another cold day with a bit of sunshine returning into the afternoon hours. Highs will range from the upper 20s to lower 30s.

A weak system works in for late Thursday and that may produce a few flurries. The cold air will hang tough into the upcoming weekend.
