PULASKI COUNTY, Ky. (WKYT) - People who know him tell WKYT they can't believe it. We're learning more about a Pulaski County pastor arrested for a triple murder in Danville. Police say Kenneth "Allen" Keith killed Michael and Angela Hockensmith and Daniel Smith at a thrift store on September 20th.
Pastor Allen Keith lives and works in Pulaski County.
"It's somebody that you would never ever think was even capable of anything like that," said Trudy Ursenbach, owner of dog grooming shop Shampoochys, in Burnside, "a lot of people are doing the same thing that we are, just looking around saying 'why did this happen? What causes something like that to happen?'"
Keith is minister in Burnside and a manager of a Somerset business, Gold Rush Gold Buyers.
Don Thompson cut Keith's hair the morning before the arrest.
"I'm shocked. Absolutely was. Couldn't believe it," he said, "and I've known him for I don't know how many years, but as long as he's been across the road here as the preacher."
The husband and father has no criminal record in Pulaski County, but in Boyle he's now facing three counts of murder and one count of first degree robbery. Police say he killed Michael and Angela Hockensmith, and gold buyer Daniel Smith at the Hockensmith's thrift store ABC Gold Games and More in Danville.
