Updated: Thu 1:19 PM, Jan 10, 2013

JONANCY, Ky. (WKYT) - An eastern Kentucky community is mourning a family killed in a house fire.

The fire broke out Wednesday morning at a home in the Jonancy community of Pike County.

William Wilfong and his children, 5-year-old Dakota, 4-year-old Tyler, 2-year-old Cheyenne and six-month-old Emily all died in the fire.
Their mother, Tammy Tucker, is in serious condition at UK hospital.

Two of the children attended G.F. Johnson Elementary. The school held several memorials for the children Thursday afternoon. They also held a "hat day" where students could donate $1 and wear a hat in their memory. The school has also set up a memorial fund at Community Trust Bank to help the Wilfong family.

The school is urging parents and children to bring gifts to lay outside of the memorial on Friday. They hope to build a place where community members can come and pay their respects for the family.

Funeral arrangements have not been finalized for the Wilfong family.
