LEXINGTON, Ky. (WKYT) - Some UK basketball fans are crying foul tonight. They say they couldn't get into last night's game at Rupp Arena because they found out at the gate that their tickets were fake.
Lexington Police did receive at least one fraud report following last night's UK game against Texas A&M. The report says a victim purchased fake basketball tickets and found out they were counterfeit when they showed up and tried to get a seat at the game.
Police tell us they are working with the victim to find the suspect who sold them the bogus tickets.
Police believe there could be more victims out there and want to talk to anyone who may have been sold a fake ticket.
This case is now in the hands of the financial crimes unit with the Lexington Police Department.
If you had a counterfeit ticket for last night's UK game, you're asked to call Lexington Police.
