SHELBY COUNTY, Ky. (WKYT) - A convicted sex offender is back in jail after police say he contacted a girl on Facebook.
Kentucky State Police arrested 41-year-old Anthony T. Bradford Monday after police say they received a complaint in Shelby County involving the social media site. Investigators say Bradford sent a Facebook message of a sexual nature to a juvenile.
Bradford lives on Jail Hill Road in Shelbyville. He is on the Kentucky Sex Offender Registry after being convicted of rape involving a 13-year-old. As part of his sentence on the rape charge, Bradford is banned from using social media. He also faces weapons charges after police say they found several guns at his home.
Bradford has been charged with, Registrant Prohibited from Using Social Networking Web Site Internet Messaging or Chat Room Program by Minor, Distributing Obscene Matter to Minor 1st Offence , Prohibited Use of Electronic Communication to Procure a Minor, Possession of Handgun by Convicted Felon and Possession of Firearm by Convicted Felon .
The investigation is ongoing by the KSP Post 12 Internet Crimes against Children Detective.
